Singer Sasson Shaulov Indicted for Running Red Light and Causing Collision in Tel Aviv

The Tel Aviv Traffic Prosecution Department filed charges on Sunday against singer Sasson Shaulov for a traffic accident that occurred last month. On July 3, 2026, at approximately 1:58 a.m., Shaulov was driving his BMW on Herzl Street in Tel Aviv and entered an intersection at Yaffo Road while the traffic light was red. He collided with a Hyundai vehicle that had lawfully entered the intersection on a green light. The Hyundai driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The indictment accuses Shaulov of running a red light, reckless driving, and causing damage. It states that the traffic signals were functioning properly at the time of the incident. Prosecutors claim Shaulov acted carelessly by failing to pay attention to the road, not noticing the red light or the approaching vehicle in time, and blocking the other car’s path by entering the intersection unlawfully.
