Man Posing as Teen on TikTok and Instagram Sexually Harasses Over 20 Girls
A man in his 40s from central Israel is suspected of creating fake profiles on TikTok and Instagram, posing as a 16-year-old boy to sexually harass more than 20 girls aged 11 to 15. He allegedly complimented their bodies, asked them to perform sexual acts on themselves, and sent obscene videos and photos of his genitals. The suspect faces charges including indecent acts with minors, sexual harassment, rape of a minor, and providing false information via computer.
The case came to light after a 12-year-old girl reported sexual harassment to the police's 105 unit at Lahav 433. A covert investigation revealed the suspect's activities spanned from 2022 to 2025. Police identified over 20 victims and publicized the fake profile "bashi.yours" to encourage additional victims to come forward.
Following the transition to an open investigation phase, the man was arrested. The Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion extended his detention until Tuesday as the inquiry continues.
