Man in His 40s Arrested for Impersonating Teen to Sexually Exploit Over 20 Minors Online
A man in his 40s from central Israel was arrested on suspicion of indecent acts against minors, sexual harassment, and rape of a minor. The investigation began after a 12-year-old girl reported sexual harassment via social media. The suspect allegedly impersonated a 16-year-old boy on TikTok and Instagram, contacting girls aged 11 to 15 using another minor's photo.
The covert investigation revealed the suspect operated this way from 2022 to 2025, complimenting the girls on their bodies, requesting they perform sexual acts on themselves, and sending obscene videos and images of his genitalia. The Israeli police's Unit 105 has identified over 20 victims so far and is urging anyone affected by the suspect's profiles to contact their hotline.
This case highlights ongoing concerns about online child exploitation and the use of social media platforms for predatory behavior targeting minors in Israel.
