Haredi influencer says her husband is on dialysis and waiting for a kidney
Haredi social media personality Orit Shoham-Raved told her 60,000 Instagram followers that her husband, Itzik, is seriously ill, on dialysis, and waiting for a kidney transplant. She said she had decided to share the news because, as she wrote, “Sometimes behind the smile there is a story you cannot see.”
In a heartfelt post, Shoham-Raved explained that Itzik is “connected to dialysis” and hopes for a kidney that will “change his life.” She said it was not easy to speak publicly, but that her followers are no longer just an audience, they are “part of my heart.”
She asked people to pray with her and for her family, saying she hopes God will give them strength until they can say the wait is over, the transplant succeeded, and everything will be “with health and joy.” She added a prayer for “Yitzhak ben Leah” and thanked family and friends for their support, as well as God for “this not simple test.”
