Three Men from Northern Israel Charged with Double Murder in Golan Over Extortion Dispute
The Israeli prosecution is set to file indictments today at the Nazareth District Court against three suspects accused of the double murder of Saada Saada, 56, and Marwan Abu Shaheen, 52. The killings took place on June 19 in Bukata, located in the Golan Heights. The motive reportedly stemmed from Abu Shaheen's refusal to pay extortion money.
Investigations revealed that the hit squad, linked to a northern criminal organization, included Ayman Ibrahim, 43, from Sajur; Said Madah, 28; and Ronen Araida, 19, from Marrar. The group rented a cabin in northern Israel the day before the murders and purchased two vehicles from a car lot in Usfiya to carry out the attack.
Additionally, Ronen Araida was apprehended in a separate incident after opening fire in Yirka, seriously injuring a bystander. The indictments mark a significant step in addressing organized crime-related violence in the region.
