70-Year-Old Man Drowns Near Nahariya Beach, Condition Critical
A 70-year-old man was pulled unconscious from the water at a beach near Nahariya. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) performed resuscitation efforts including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and medication administration. He was transported in critical condition to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya while resuscitation continued en route.
Dr. Omri Gurga, an MDA physician, and paramedic Zar Hirschfeld described finding the man unconscious near the shoreline and immediately initiating lifesaving procedures. Despite the intensive efforts, the man remains in a critical state at the hospital. The incident occurred recently, with the medical response reported within minutes of the rescue.
