Man in His 50s Drowns at Coral Beach in Eilat
A man approximately 50 years old was pulled unconscious from the water near Coral Beach in Eilat on Tuesday. Despite resuscitation efforts by Magen David Adom paramedics and emergency medical technicians, his death was confirmed at the scene. Paramedic Udi Edri and emergency medical technician Yehuda Ben Yitach reported that bystanders had begun basic life support before their arrival, and they continued advanced treatment including chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration, but were ultimately unable to save him.
Earlier this month, Magen David Adom responders also declared the death of a man in his mid-20s who was found unconscious near Jerusalem Beach in Bat Yam after being pulled from the water. Paramedics Roy Ben Yitach, Mai Bozaglo, and Eran Karmelff described the victim as pulseless and not breathing upon their arrival, with all medical efforts proving unsuccessful.
These incidents highlight ongoing risks of drowning along Israel's coastlines and the critical role of emergency medical services in responding to such emergencies.
