Israeli Border Police Seize 162 Kg of Stolen Avocados Near Haredi Moshav Yesodot
Israeli Border Police officers from the Central Region recently intercepted a vehicle carrying 162 kilograms of avocados suspected to have been stolen from agricultural fields near the Haredi moshav Yesodot, located in the Nahal Sorek Regional Council area. The seizure occurred during an anti-theft operation aimed at preventing agricultural thefts in the region. Officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at the edge of a farming path and found a man nearby. Upon inspection, they discovered a large quantity of avocados in the car's trunk.
A local representative identified the avocados as a variety cultivated specifically in the Yesodot agricultural lands. The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning by the Central Region Border Police Investigation Unit. The vehicle and the seized produce were also confiscated for further investigation. This operation highlights ongoing efforts by Israeli security forces to combat agricultural theft in rural communities.
