Israeli Border Police Seize 162 Kg of Stolen Avocados Near Yesodot Settlement

Israeli Border Police fighters from the Central Unit confiscated 162 kilograms of avocados suspected to be stolen during an operation near the Yesodot settlement in the Nahal Sorek Regional Council area. The incident occurred on Tuesday when officers identified a suspicious vehicle at the end of an agricultural path near the settlement. Upon inspection, the officers found a large quantity of avocados in the car's trunk.

A representative from the settlement was called to the scene and confirmed that the avocados were of a variety grown in the agricultural lands of Yesodot. The suspect, a 75-year-old individual, was arrested on suspicion of theft and transferred to the Central Border Police Investigation Unit for further questioning. The vehicle and the seized produce were also confiscated as part of the investigation.
