Israeli Police Seize Stolen Explosives Hidden Behind Electric Cabinet in Tayibe
Israeli police officers from the Central District and fighters from the Border Police's National Guard uncovered explosives and demolition charges stolen from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) hidden behind an electric cabinet in the city of Tayibe. The operation was part of a focused effort by the Tayibe police station, in cooperation with the Border Police National Guard Central Unit, to locate weapons and explosives suspected to be used in violent disputes and criminal incidents.
During a thorough search in the city, police found materials identified by a bomb disposal expert as "Hannamix" explosive charges and four standard IDF demolition charges. The seized explosives were transferred for further examination by police bomb experts. Following the operation, two brothers residing in Tayibe were arrested and taken for questioning at the Tayibe police station. The police intend to request an extension of their detention based on the investigation's findings.
This seizure highlights ongoing efforts by Israeli law enforcement to combat the possession and use of weapons and explosives by criminal elements within the country.
