Murder charges set for minor in killing of couple near Mevaseret Zion

After a joint investigation by the Central District police investigative unit and the Shin Bet, prosecutors are set to file an indictment against a minor from central Israel over the murder of Olga and Ruslan Pariukhodko. The couple was found dead in their car on May 22 near Mishmar Ayalon.

According to the investigation, intelligence work led to identifying the killer, and Yamam officers arrested several suspects believed to have been involved. Investigators said the suspect and the victims knew each other beforehand and that the case had a criminal background.

Police also concluded that the suspect tried to conceal his role in the killing and to hide the weapon used in the murder. Investigators later found the gun, and during a reconstruction the suspect pointed out his route and the stages of the crime.

Indictments are also expected against two residents of the territories on charges of shooting offenses and illegal entry into Israel.
