Likud Leads in Two Post-Primary Polls with Netanyahu Ahead
Two recent polls conducted after the Likud primaries show the party leading with 31-32 seats, while Gadi Eizenkot's "Yashar" party ranks second with 24 seats. The polls reveal notable differences in bloc strengths and party results.
The i24NEWS poll, conducted by Direct Polls under Zuriel Sharon, gives Likud 31 seats, up one from last week, and Yashar also rises by one seat to 24. The Democrats increase from 10 to 11 seats, and Naftali Bennett's "Together" party grows from 8 to 9 seats. United Torah Judaism and Yisrael Beiteinu each hold 8 seats, down one, while Shas remains at 8. Otzma Yehudit falls to 6 seats, and Ra'am, Religious Zionism, and Hadash-Ta'al each receive 5 seats. The coalition bloc totals 58 seats, opposition 52, and Arab parties 10. Several parties, including Moshe Feiglin's Zehut, Balad, and Blue and White, fall below the electoral threshold.
The Channel 14 poll shows Likud with 32 seats, one less than the previous poll, and Yashar rising by one seat to 24. Shas gains 10 seats, Democrats 9, and Otzma Yehudit increases by two seats to 8. Yisrael Beiteinu and United Torah Judaism each have 7 seats, Religious Zionism holds 6, and Bennett's "Together" party drops to 6 seats. Among Arab parties, Ra'am receives 6 seats and Hadash-Ta'al 5. The right-wing bloc totals 63 seats, left-center bloc 46, and Arab parties 11. Several parties, including Balad and Blue and White, remain below the threshold.
These polls indicate a competitive political landscape ahead of the elections, with Likud and Eizenkot's party as leading forces and shifting support among smaller parties. The results highlight the ongoing fragmentation and volatility within Israeli politics.
