Ben Gvir Says Trump Deal Does Not Bind Israel
National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said that Donald Trump’s agreement does not bind Israel. “Israel is not subordinate to the United States, we are an independent and sovereign state,” he said.
Ben Gvir added that he rejects the deal because, in his view, it does not protect Israel’s security. “My position is clear: we are not partners to this agreement, which does not take our security into account,” he said.
He also argued that Israel must not give up any territory captured by its fighters. “We must not withdraw from any area our fighters conquered,” he said.
