National Security Minister Ben Gvir Denounces Regional Agreements as Deceptive Pretexts to Weaken Israel

The report by Kan News correspondent Roy Kayes revealed that officials from one regional country advised another to tactically ease tensions and enter agreements with Israel only to break them later, while simultaneously preparing for a major confrontation. This strategy mirrors Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's approach before the October 7 massacre, when he feigned willingness for calm while planning attacks.

Ben Gvir questioned whether Israel is once again deceiving itself about the sincerity of regional states in advancing normalization, suggesting that Israel might be falling into the same conceptual trap as before.
