18-Year-Old Charged with Robbing Disabled Woman in Wheelchair in Beersheba
The Southern District Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against an 18-year-old man from Rahat for robbing a disabled woman in a wheelchair in Beersheba in June. According to police reports, the suspect stopped the woman's wheelchair at night, punched her, and demanded her handbag. When she resisted, he forcibly took the bag and fled the scene.
Police launched an investigation immediately after receiving the report. They identified the suspect and tracked his actions following the robbery. About an hour later, he attempted to use the victim’s stolen credit card at a bank branch in Rahat. The suspect was arrested shortly thereafter and brought in for questioning at the Beersheba police station.
Following the investigation and collection of evidence, the prosecution charged him with aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a payment method. The case is now before the Beersheba District Court.
