Police Arrest Two More Suspects in Eldar Dayan Murder, Hunt Third Man

In a significant development in the murder investigation of Eldar Dayan, Israeli police have arrested two additional suspects from Petah Tikva. These two young men were initially questioned during the early stages of the case on suspicion of involvement in a preceding altercation but were released. Following new leads, police raided their homes on Monday morning, detained them again, and began interrogations on suspicion of Dayan's murder. One suspect denied involvement, stating, "I did not hit Dayan, I met him, he asked me to help find his friends, and I have no idea how you link me to the murder." Authorities confiscated his phone and plan to present both suspects to the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court to request extended detention.

Meanwhile, police are actively searching for a third suspect who has disappeared and is believed to be in hiding. This individual is also suspected of involvement in the murder and has vanished from his registered address, ignoring phone calls. The lawyer for one of the arrested suspects, Shay Roda, told N12 that his client denies the murder charges, is fully cooperating, and has provided his phone to investigators.

Previously, two close friends of Eldar Dayan, Maxim Braverman and Omri Peretz, were arrested in connection with the murder and are scheduled to appear before a judge on Wednesday. Should the new developments strengthen the case against the additional suspects, it could impact the detention status of Braverman and Peretz. Eldar Dayan's murder remains under intense investigation as police continue their efforts to uncover the full circumstances surrounding his death.
