22-Year-Old Woman Seriously Wounded in Shooting at Jaffa Cafe

A 22-year-old woman was seriously injured on Sunday night in a shooting at a cafe on Raziel Street in Jaffa. Police opened an investigation, began collecting evidence at the scene, and said the apparent motive was criminal.

Magen David Adom received the report at 11:23 p.m. and sent crews to the scene. Paramedics evacuated the woman to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon with gunshot wounds. Paramedics Omri Gil and Amir Reizman, יחד with medic Aybek Hamuda, said, "We saw the young woman conscious with severe gunshot injuries to her body. We provided lifesaving medical treatment that included stopping the bleeding and applying a tourniquet and evacuated her to the hospital."

Family members said Majed had been driving to visit a friend who had recently been released from prison after being arrested on suspicion of employing illegal residents. While the two were sitting in a car near the mountain area by the village, two young men on an all-terrain vehicle approached them. One asked Majed's friend which family he belonged to, and he answered, "Taha." The suspect then asked Majed for his family name, and after he answered, he was shot several times at close range.
