Israeli Police Reveal Month-Long Escape Plan of Mally and Liel Yahalomi to Argentina

Israeli police investigations have uncovered that Mally and Liel Yahalomi, a mother and daughter, meticulously planned their escape for about a month, starting in July 2026. During this period, they took deliberate steps to erase digital traces by deleting tracking apps and acquiring untraceable phones. Although they had some bank debts, sources told N12 that the amounts were not significant, and the motive behind their sudden disappearance remains unclear.

During their escape, Mally attempted to contact the Israeli consulate in Vienna, but the call went unanswered. The two then flew from Frankfurt, Germany, to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on a Lufthansa flight, with police suspecting they intended to continue to another South American country. Israeli police intelligence units coordinated a global operation, working closely with Europol, foreign law enforcement, and international border authorities to track their movements.

Upon arrival in Argentina, a police representative stationed in Mexico monitored their flight and coordinated with local authorities to follow the pair continuously. The decision was made to arrest them while they were on a bus. Hundreds of targeted investigations, technological tracking, and data cross-referencing led to their precise location.

Israeli police emphasized that they believed the mother and daughter left voluntarily without coercion but insisted on a face-to-face meeting to confirm their status. The operation was directed by Israel Police Commissioner Major General Danni Levi and executed by the Lahav 433 economic crime unit in cooperation with the police intelligence division. The police expressed gratitude to all domestic and international partners who assisted in the extensive search effort.
