Israeli Mother and Daughter Voluntarily Leave Austria Amid Disappearance Investigation

A significant development occurred in the case of Israeli mother Mally Yahilomi, 50, and her daughter Liel, 23, who had been missing in Vienna since the previous Friday. Austrian authorities announced on Friday that the two women left Austria voluntarily, following a comprehensive investigation involving Vienna's criminal police, the federal criminal police, state security agencies, Israeli authorities, and other international bodies. According to the Austrian newspaper Die Presse, there is currently no evidence suggesting the mother and daughter were victims of violent crime.

Additional details from the Austrian Kronen Zeitung revealed that senior Israeli officials and intelligence agents traveled to Vienna to locate the women, suspecting they had gone underground. Reports indicate that Mally and Liel Yahilomi left Austria for Germany and subsequently exited Europe, with unconfirmed information suggesting they continued to South America.

The investigation was transferred on Wednesday to Israel's Lahav 433 unit under Police Commissioner Danny Levi's directive. Specialists in economic crime and virtual trace detection were assigned to the case. The Yahilomi family provided testimony and information to the investigators but claimed that some police-released details were not shared with them and that they possess information contradicting parts of the public narrative. Due to ongoing developments and rumors, the police imposed a gag order on all investigation details.
