Singer Avi Bitter Warns of Rising Tensions Over Netanyahu Support

Singer and actor Avi Bitter recently declared his intention to vote for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and spoke about the social and political tensions surrounding this stance in an interview on Galei Yisrael radio. Bitter emphasized that the left-wing dislikes Mizrahi Jews like himself, stating, "They don't hate Bibi, they hate us. They hate Bibi because he represents us." He criticized what he called a small group of anarchists who provoke and cause problems without facing consequences, contrasting this with how Mizrahi individuals would be harshly punished for similar actions.

Bitter warned that conflict could erupt from these tensions, saying, "The war might start there, hopefully not, but if it does, they will receive severe blows." He expressed a desire for calm and restraint despite the provocations. Bitter also shared a personal experience where a supplier canceled his order after he sent a WhatsApp sticker supporting Netanyahu, illustrating the divisiveness of political loyalties.

In the same context, singer Gavri Banai criticized the "Hilltop Youth," calling them "uncivilized people who do not bathe," highlighting ongoing cultural and political conflicts within Israeli society.
