Eyal Golan Donates Catering for Canceled Show to IDF Soldiers

Singer Eyal Golan said on Sunday night that all of the kosher catering prepared for his canceled concert would be donated to IDF soldiers. The announcement came after his show, scheduled for that evening, was called off because of tightened Home Front Command instructions and fears of an Iranian attack.

In an Instagram story, Golan wrote that “everything was already ready for tonight” and added, “We have kosher catering for hundreds of people that we want to donate to our dear IDF soldiers.” He asked anyone interested in receiving the supplies to contact his staff using the phone number he attached, so the transfer to the soldiers could be arranged.

The stricter Home Front Command rules limit gatherings to 5,000 people and led to the cancellation of Golan’s performance as well as another show by singer Omer Adam. Golan said a replacement date for his concert will be announced and that tickets will remain valid. Adam said his show had been postponed.

The updated restrictions are expected to remain in force until Monday at 8:00 p.m., amid the security situation and the possibility of launches from Iran toward Israel.
