Israeli Woman Poses as Health Nurse to Scam Elderly with Accomplice Supervisor

Lior-Liora Nativ-Strasberg (Kazmoz), 54, faces new charges at Haifa Magistrate's Court for systematic fraud and theft targeting helpless elderly individuals. The indictment alleges that while already on trial for similar offenses, she impersonated a health clinic nurse to steal credit cards and cash from a 95-year-old Holocaust survivor in Haifa's Carmel neighborhood. During the scam on July 17, Nativ-Strasberg wore a wig and a "Clalit Health Services" uniform, claiming to take vital signs, and stole the victim's wallet while the elderly woman awaited examination.

The victim's foreign caregiver, Hira, courageously exposed the fraud by recording the confrontation and identifying the suspect, who was supposed to be under house arrest. Instead, Nativ-Strasberg collaborated with her court-approved house arrest supervisor, Ein Ben David, 44, from Kiryat Ata, who actively joined in the fraud by using stolen credit cards for purchases across Haifa and the Krayot area. Police found multiple wigs, health clinic uniforms, stolen credit cards, IDs, and other items during a search of Nativ-Strasberg's home.

Additional complaints emerged after police sought other victims. In one case, Nativ-Strasberg stole a credit card from a woman at Bnei Zion Hospital, later admitting to the theft and reimbursing the victim. She also targeted elderly couples, a painting class teacher, and a doctor at Carmel Hospital, stealing thousands of shekels and multiple credit cards. A taxi driver testified that she stole his credit cards and checkbook from his vehicle, linking her to prior break-ins.

Police described the case as a severe exploitation of vulnerable elderly people. Nativ-Strasberg remains in custody pending trial, while Ben David was released under restrictive conditions. A further court hearing is scheduled with defense attorney Amir Margia present. Authorities urge any additional victims to come forward.
