Brazilian Defender Marcio Silva Nears Deal With Hapoel Ramat Gan

Hapoel Ramat Gan, recently promoted to the Israeli Premier League, is close to signing Brazilian defender Marcio Silva. The 25-year-old center-back, who can play in both central defense positions, has spent his entire career in Brazil until now. Silva developed in the youth systems of Palmeiras and Coritiba, made senior appearances for Coritiba, and was loaned to Botafogo Sao Paulo. In March, he transferred to Ponte Preta in Brazil's Serie B, where he made 26 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. If the deal is finalized, Hapoel Ramat Gan will be Silva's first club outside Brazil. The club continues to work on completing its squad ahead of the new season.
