Maccabi Netanya Nears Deal to Loan Brazilian Defender Ze Marcos
Maccabi Netanya is reportedly in advanced negotiations to acquire Brazilian defender Ze Marcos on loan. The 28-year-old center-back, who previously played alongside Real Madrid's Eder Militao in Brazil's under-17 national team, could soon join the Israeli Premier League club coached by Roni Levy.
Ze Marcos stands 1.88 meters tall and began his career as a left-back before transitioning to center-back due to his physical attributes. He is currently under contract with Vitoria in Brazil's top division but spent the 2026 season on loan at Recife in Brazil's second tier. Earlier in his career, from 2017 to 2019, he was signed by Red Star Belgrade but did not make any official appearances for their senior team.
Notably, Ze Marcos captained Brazil's under-17 team, winning a continental championship alongside Militao. If the deal is finalized, he will strengthen Maccabi Netanya's defense for the upcoming season.
