Head of West Bank Settlement Council Condemns Violence in Kusra as Unacceptable

Israel Gantz, head of the Yesha Council representing West Bank settlements, addressed the recent siege of Palestinians in Kusra, a village in the northern West Bank. He described the events as serious and stated they do not reflect the council's values. Gantz emphasized that private decisions to establish outposts, even on illegal or disputed land, are unacceptable, especially when involving violence against uninvolved civilians or security forces. He acknowledged that some parties exploit these incidents to campaign against the settlements but insisted this should not obscure the fact that the Kusra events are improper and rejected by the council.
