Because he was not registered for the match, Neymar did not go through the official mixed zone, but he took charge in the locker room and was one of the most vocal figures trying to calm the players after the frustrating debut.

Brazil can also look ahead to his return. The team’s plan has already been set, and Neymar is expected to resume training tomorrow, Monday, and rejoin the squad fully. His first official match back is scheduled for the next round, when Brazil faces Haiti.
