Samsung Releases Fifth One UI 9 Beta Update for Galaxy S26 Series Fixing Key Bugs

Samsung began rolling out the fifth beta version of One UI 9 for its Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra smartphones yesterday. The update, firmware version S94xBXXU4ZZH6 and about 1.13 GB in size, is available in countries participating in Samsung's beta program. It primarily addresses several bugs affecting daily user experience rather than just internal improvements.

Key fixes include resolving freezing and white screen issues in the Settings app, improving the camera widget on the lock screen which previously opened slowly or showed a black screen, and correcting display problems with the floating bar in the Phone app. The My Files app no longer shows a brief blank screen when switching to recent files, and the home screen now properly supports adding 1x1 shortcuts to the bottom area.

Samsung also fixed media editing glitches where the preview screen in the Video and Photo Editors could flicker or display incorrectly. A broader screen flickering issue was also resolved. Importantly, the update improves WiFi connection stability and fixes connection errors, a critical enhancement since network problems can prevent users from installing beta versions on their main devices.

Users enrolled in the One UI 9 Beta program can manually check for the update via Settings > Software update > Check for updates. According to SamMobile, Samsung may release one more beta before the stable One UI 9 launch, though no official release date has been announced yet.
