Samsung Delays Global Rollout of One UI 9 Update for Galaxy Devices

Samsung's rollout of its new One UI 9 software update is proceeding slower than anticipated, leaving many Galaxy users worldwide still waiting. While the company announced the update's release for the Galaxy S26 series on September 16, it has so far only become widely available in South Korea and the United States.

The delay is particularly noticeable in Thailand, where the release schedule has seen multiple changes. Initially slated for September 21, the update for the Galaxy S26 was pushed to September 28, then the specific date was removed entirely. Now, a further delay is expected, with a Samsung community manager in Thailand indicating a September 30 release, while Samsung Indonesia suggests October 3. This suggests a gradual international rollout extending into October.

One UI 9 introduces several new features, including My FanCam for automatic subject tracking in videos, enhancements to Now Nudge, new customization options, and improved device management, privacy, and security tools. Samsung has not officially cited any bugs or technical issues as the reason for the slow distribution pace.

The company generally states that update schedules can vary by country, model, and mobile carrier. Therefore, any claims of specific malfunctions causing the delay remain unverified. No official release date has been announced for Israel, where users can manually check for the update via settings, but it will only be available once Samsung opens it for their region.
