Sports Instructor Charged with Sexual Offenses Against Disabled Women During Classes

Gilboa Dahan, a 52-year-old sports instructor from Netanya, has been indicted for sexual offenses against five women with intellectual disabilities at a residential care facility. The indictment, filed by the Central District Prosecutor's Office at the Lod District Court, alleges that Dahan exploited his position while conducting sports and walking group sessions three times a week to commit indecent acts. These offenses occurred during routine activities and sometimes in the presence of staff members. The charges include inappropriate touching, such as fondling breasts, pressing on groins, and forcing victims to touch his genitals. Prosecutors requested to extend Dahan's detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings, citing concerns for public safety. Attorney Tal Gingis Gershon emphasized that Dahan targeted vulnerable victims who were unable to report his actions, describing them as "easy prey."
