Sports Instructor Charged with Sexual Offenses Against Women with Intellectual Disabilities

The Central District Prosecutor's Office in Lod has filed charges against Gilboa Dahan, a 52-year-old sports instructor from Netanya, accusing him of committing sexual offenses against women with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Dahan worked as a sports instructor at a residential facility, conducting sports lessons and walking groups three times a week. According to the indictment, he exploited his position and proximity to vulnerable female residents to commit indecent acts on five women with cognitive impairments.

The charges detail that Dahan engaged in various inappropriate behaviors, including using a resident's hand to touch his genitalia, repeatedly pinching and fondling the breasts of residents, touching and pressing their groin areas, and other lewd acts. These offenses occurred during routine activities and while using sports equipment as part of the lessons, sometimes even in the presence of other staff members.
