Hapoel Be'er Sheva Secures Nearly 9 Million Euros After Champions League Playoff Win
Hapoel Be'er Sheva guaranteed a significant financial boost following their impressive victory against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, securing a spot in the Champions League playoff and at least the Europa League group stage. The Champions League playoff bonus alone is worth 4.29 million euros, nearly matching the Europa League participation bonus of 4.31 million euros. Combined with a domestic championship bonus of 260,000 euros, the club's guaranteed earnings now total approximately 8.86 million euros. Prior to this win, their minimum guaranteed earnings stood at 3.17 million euros from the Conference League.
If Hapoel Be'er Sheva advances past Azerbaijani club Sabah in the playoff, they will reach the Champions League group stage for the first time in their history, increasing their financial rewards to 18.62 million euros. In the Champions League group stage, each win during the eight matches is worth 2.1 million euros, and each draw adds 700,000 euros. In contrast, Europa League points are valued at 150,000 euros each, with a win granting 450,000 euros.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva will host the first leg of the playoff next Wednesday at Rapid Bucharest's stadium in Romania, their new home venue, with the return leg scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan.
