IDF Confirms Jewish Rioters Besieged Palestinian Homes in West Bank, Barrier Removed

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Tuesday evening that Jewish rioters imposed a siege on Palestinian homes in the village of Kusra in the West Bank. According to the investigation, the rioters infiltrated the area inside a military ambulance summoned by local residents. Upon arrival, IDF forces dismantled the barricade set up by the rioters and declared the area a closed military zone. The army described the incident as illegal, reprehensible, and harmful to the villagers' daily lives.

Reports from the previous day indicated that the residents, including a family with two young girls, were under a complete lockdown without access to electricity or water, allegedly to force them to abandon their homes. Additionally, there were claims that soldiers called to the scene cooperated with the rioters and did not act to end the siege.

Colonel (res.) Doron Meinhardt, a leader of the organization "Looking the Occupation in the Eye," recounted that settlers, backed by the army, had previously abused the same residents for erecting a fence. The residents were forced to stand with raised hands for hours. The following morning, military police detained two residents, held them handcuffed for four hours, and then transferred them to the police, who released them after a brief interrogation, stating no offense had been committed.

Since the start of the year, there have been more victims of Jewish terrorism in the West Bank than Palestinian attacks, highlighting ongoing violence and tensions in the region following the events of October 7.
