Israeli Captive Survivor Compares Yosef Haddad's Violent Clash to Hamas Tunnel Captivity

Ziv Berman, an Israeli captive survivor, reflected on a recent violent confrontation involving Israeli advocacy activist Yosef Haddad and American right-wing influencer Dennis Pfoetzer. Berman said the incident reminded him of his traumatic experience being held in Hamas tunnels, where conversations with captors quickly escalated from confusion to violence. He described how attempts to explain himself led to physical and verbal abuse, with others mocking him from a distance.

Berman publicly supported Haddad on social media, stating, "Yosef, I am with you, Israel is with you, they will not intimidate us or defeat us." He expressed hope that the video of the altercation would reach a wide audience to raise awareness about the hatred and misunderstanding they face.

The violent clash occurred during the filming of a podcast and escalated outside the studio in a parking lot. The argument between Haddad and Pfoetzer quickly turned physical, involving punches and kicks. After being separated inside, Pfoetzer attempted to attack Haddad again outside but was repelled. Haddad’s supporters noted his military background as a Golani Brigade fighter and commander, implying he was prepared for such confrontations.

Following the incident, Haddad filed a formal police complaint against Pfoetzer in Las Vegas, hoping for his arrest and prosecution. The episode highlights ongoing tensions between Israeli advocates and right-wing American influencers, with physical violence spilling into public settings.
