He shared video footage of the assault, which he says was carried out by an individual identified with the left-wing camp. The attack disrupted his live broadcast and marked his final appearance on Channel 13.

Ben Haim sharply criticized the police for failing to arrest the assailant despite clear evidence in the video. He also condemned the silence from media outlets, politicians, journalist organizations, and colleagues, noting that no public condemnations of the attack were made. He highlighted a troubling atmosphere that seemed to encourage such violence against journalists perceived as being from the "wrong side."

In his social media post, Ben Haim challenged recent warnings about escalating violence toward journalists, stating, "Why warn now? It has already happened, more than once, just to journalists from the wrong side, like me." He called for urgent action to stop the deterioration of safety for reporters and demanded reforms across all sectors to address this issue.
