New Recruits Join IDF's Kfir and Nahal Brigades with Strong Motivation

As part of a special series titled "Welcome to the IDF," journalist Yaron Avraham visited Ariel Sharon Park on August 11, 2026, to accompany new recruits enlisting in the Kfir and Nahal brigades. The visit aimed to support the recruits and their families on this significant day. Among the recruits, Itay, joining the Kfir Brigade, expressed a deep sense of pride and motivation, emphasizing the unique dedication he witnessed among soldiers defending Israel. "The feeling of seeing people willing to die protecting the country, with such eagerness and determination, is something you don't find in any other country," he said.

Another recruit, Omer, also joining Kfir, confidently stated his readiness and enthusiasm for service. Idan, enlisting in the Nahal Brigade, shared a family legacy within the unit, mentioning that both his uncle and grandfather served in Nahal. This installment is part of a broader series covering various IDF units, including the Navy, Armored Corps, Combat Engineering Corps, Givati Brigade, Artillery Corps, and Paratroopers Brigade, highlighting the diverse paths new soldiers take in the Israeli military.
