Elbit Systems Reports Record Order Backlog Amid Global Arms Demand

Elbit Systems announced a record high order backlog alongside revenues of $2.3 billion and a net profit of $173.6 million according to US-GAAP for the first half of 2026. The company’s president and CEO highlighted double-digit growth in sales, order backlog, and earnings per share, attributing this to increased global demand for defense equipment.

The company is accelerating investments in manufacturing infrastructure to enhance production capacity and convert its growing order backlog into sustainable revenue and growth. Elbit Systems is also advancing next-generation high-power laser systems, recently unveiling an airborne laser system under development for helicopters and fighter jets. This technology builds on decades of operational and technological experience and aims to expand the company’s comprehensive defense portfolio while supporting global customers in protecting critical assets.

In the coming days, Israeli defense companies Rafael and Israel Aerospace Industries are expected to report their mid-year results, with both already indicating significant increases in order backlogs and revenues. Unlike Elbit, these government-owned companies report only to the Ministries of Finance and Defense and not to the stock exchange.
