Jerusalem Man Charged for Impersonating Rival and Threatening Israeli Minister and MK

A 30-year-old resident of Shuafat in East Jerusalem has been indicted for impersonating a personal rival and issuing death threats against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Member of Knesset Tzvi Sukkot. According to the indictment, the suspect created a Facebook account in July using the rival's photo and personal details to send threatening messages. Among the threats, he sent images of a gun, magazines, and ammunition to the Shuafat regional coordinator, accompanied by messages stating he openly fires a gun daily. He also sent direct threats to Sukkot and Ben-Gvir, calling them derogatory names and threatening to kill them. One message declared he carries weapons without security checks and would kill the recipient upon seeing them. Following reports of these threats, a covert investigation was launched, which uncovered the suspect's true identity. The investigation led to his arrest, and the indictment was filed yesterday.
