Israeli Rabbi in Bogotá Describes Fear During Ongoing Earthquake Tremors

Israeli Rabbi Yosef Garmon, who was in Bogotá, Colombia as part of a relief delegation to Venezuela, experienced a significant earthquake while in the city. He arrived in Bogotá early in the morning and went to sleep around 5 a.m., only to be awakened by the earthquake. Residing on the eighth floor, Garmon described the prolonged shaking and the ensuing panic, with people evacuating via stairwells amid continued tremors. He noted that the ground was still shaking and that many residents were frightened by the event.
