United Hatzalah Rapid Response Unit Completes Intense Week of Emergency Aid in Tiberias and Sea of Galilee Area

Over the course of a week-long operation, United Hatzalah's rapid response unit in Tiberias provided continuous medical assistance in more than 480 incidents, including road accidents, falls, and outdoor injuries. The unit also conducted special rescues on the Sea of Galilee using the organization's rescue boat. More than 135 patients were transported by United Hatzalah ambulances to hospitals for further treatment.

The unit's leadership expressed deep appreciation for all teams involved, highlighting Yossi Oknin, head of the Tiberias branch, who coordinated the complex operation in this challenging region. Various branches and divisions of United Hatzalah contributed to the effort, including the volunteer division, operations division, Tiberias branch, and logistics team, ensuring continuous and professional medical response throughout the operation.

Lazer Hayman, United Hatzalah's Vice President and Head of Volunteers and Operations, summarized the effort by emphasizing the volunteers' dedication year-round to providing professional emergency care. He noted that during this particular week, which coincided with the interlude between Jewish holidays, the rapid response unit members committed to reinforcing the Tiberias branch's coverage around the Sea of Galilee, significantly aiding in numerous life-saving interventions.
