Israel's Tallest Office Tower Prepares Emergency Evacuation for 10,000 Daily Occupants

The Beyond office tower in Givatayim, Israel's tallest business skyscraper at approximately 320 meters and 78 floors, is set to accommodate around 10,000 people daily. Ahead of its occupancy, a comprehensive emergency drill was conducted to test the building's safety and evacuation systems. The tower features advanced evacuation infrastructure, including dedicated evacuation elevators and fire-protected stairwells, designed to enable a rapid and phased evacuation based on floor and priority during emergencies.

The project received fire safety approval after an extensive process involving close collaboration with fire department representatives. Brigadier General Shishitzki emphasized the complexity of ensuring safety in such a tall building and highlighted the importance of professional, thorough planning to protect occupants in all emergency scenarios. He noted that the building's height represents not just an engineering challenge but a significant safety responsibility.

Givatayim Mayor Ran Konik praised the architectural and engineering innovation while stressing that occupant safety remains paramount. He welcomed the fire department's approval as a critical milestone achieved through meticulous planning, execution, and oversight. The Beyond tower is considered a groundbreaking project in Israel for both its height and operational complexity, setting new standards for emergency preparedness in high-rise office buildings.
