Police Seize Gun, Ammunition, and Suspected Drugs in West Bank Village Raid
Israeli police detectives from the Shafat station, together with IDF forces, Border Police fighters, and a canine unit, conducted an operational raid at the home of a suspect in the West Bank village of Kaab. During the search, a police dog indicated the presence of weapons, leading to the discovery of a Beretta handgun, a loaded magazine, ammunition, and bags containing suspected drugs. Additional bags intended for drug distribution were also found on site.
The 28-year-old suspect was arrested and taken for further interrogation at the Shafat police station. According to police, he will be brought before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court for a hearing to extend his detention. The coordinated operation highlights ongoing security efforts in the area to combat illegal arms and drug trafficking.
