Avigdor Lieberman Urges Opposition Leaders to Unite and Focus on Replacing Government

Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, called on opposition leaders to end internal conflicts and concentrate on the primary goal of replacing the current government after the upcoming elections. He emphasized that there should be no alliances or intrigues within the opposition, stating, "We are all mature people who know how to make decisions with judgment and responsibility. Therefore, the day after the elections, we will know how to cooperate with each other."

Lieberman identified the main objective as replacing the coalition he described as "the alliance of Goldknopf, Deri, and Netanyahu." He urged opposition members not to deviate from this central election message. He also accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to divert public attention from key issues, including responsibility for the October 7 massacre, failure to achieve decisive victories in ongoing conflicts, and the rise in lawlessness across Israel.

Further criticizing the government's security and diplomatic policies, Lieberman claimed Israel suffered a "strategic failure" against the new Sunni alliance of Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, as well as a failure in relations with the United States, which he said is permitting uranium enrichment in Saudi Arabia and supplying F-35 jets to Turkey. He concluded by reiterating his call for opposition leaders to unite and stop internal campaigns and briefings against each other.
