Avigdor Lieberman Affirms Plans to Replace Current Government Before Seeking Premiership
Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, outlined his political roadmap in a radio interview on Thursday, reiterating his intention to lead the country. He emphasized that his primary goal is to replace the current government before pursuing the position of prime minister. "My priority is clear: first replace the government, then become prime minister," Lieberman stated on 103FM.
Lieberman justified his suitability for the premiership by citing his extensive public service experience across various government ministries. "In terms of experience, understanding, and process analysis, I believe I am capable," he explained.
When confronted with political challenges within the opposition bloc, including the lead of Benny Gantz over him, Lieberman remained unfazed. He declined to engage in internal disputes and expressed confidence that partnerships within the opposition would be resolved as long as their shared goal of ousting the current government is achieved. "We will manage," he concluded, "but first, we need to replace this government."
