Oren Frank, Founder of Talkspace and Former McCann CEO, Dies at 60

Oren Frank, co-founder of the online therapy platform Talkspace and former co-CEO of the advertising agency McCann, passed away this morning at the age of 60 after battling cancer for the past year. His wife Roni described his fight with the disease as marked by elegance, acceptance, and without drama. Frank lived in the United States in recent years and is survived by his wife and two daughters, Maya and Sheli.

Frank initially gained recognition as a creative director in the advertising industry before becoming co-CEO of McCann. In 2012, he left advertising to establish Talkspace with his wife. The company developed an online psychological treatment platform that gained significant popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic as healthcare services shifted to remote formats.

Talkspace went public on Wall Street in 2021 and was sold earlier this year for $835 million to UHS, the largest healthcare provider in the United States. Frank's contributions to both advertising and digital mental health services mark a significant legacy.
