In a recent interview on Kol Barama radio, Itzik Krombi, CEO of the Migo program, outlined a pragmatic approach to enhancing the earning potential of Haredi men without compromising their household routines. With an impressive 82% job placement rate, Migo is currently enrolling its eighth cohort, offering eight industry-linked vocational tracks designed to meet strong labor market demand.
The program’s courses span software development, mechanical engineering (mechatronics), building engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, and two new tracks: refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, and medical electronics engineering. These fields provide essential skills and certifications, including licensed electrician credentials and guaranteed employment opportunities, such as a partnership with Beit Shemesh Engines for mechanical engineering graduates.
Migo’s unique model addresses common concerns among married Haredi men, such as financial strain and disruption to religious study or family life. Classes are held three evenings a week, allowing participants to maintain morning religious studies or employment. Tuition is fully subsidized, with additional monthly scholarships and interest-free loans up to 40,000 shekels. Comprehensive academic support is provided for students with little prior knowledge, including preparatory courses and tutoring.
Beyond training, Migo offers personalized post-graduation assistance with resume writing, interview preparation, and direct connections to leading employers to ensure rapid placement. The program also maintains a respectful, all-male learning environment aligned with Haredi values. Graduate Daniel Klemus praised Migo for providing both professional skills and financial stability, enabling him to support his family with dignity.
