Labor Ministry Director General Tours KAMACH Employment Centers: “A Model for High-Quality Workforce Integration”
Director General of the Labor Ministry, Ruby Shemesh, held a professional tour this week of the offices of the KAMACH Foundation, יחד with senior ministry officials and professional teams accompanying the foundation’s work. The tour opened at the Kivun Center in Jerusalem, where he was received by KAMACH Foundation Director General Moti Feldstein, Foundation Deputy Director Aharon Yustman, Jerusalem Kivun Center Director Elazar Atzur, Director of Kivun Centers in the North and the Jerusalem Envelope Yechiel Amoyal, Ms. Shira Avni, head of the municipal employment authority in the Jerusalem Municipality, Eliyahu Wind, who is responsible for the ultra-Orthodox sector in the municipal employment authority, and professional staff from the Labor Ministry. During the visit, Shemesh toured the classrooms, met participants in a range of training tracks, spoke with staff members, and received a comprehensive briefing from Elazar Atzur on the work of the Kivun Centers, which lead guidance, training, and job placement activities for many members of the ultra-Orthodox public who are interested in entering the workforce.
Later, the ministry director general arrived at the offices of the “Migo” program, a program for training ultra-Orthodox men for engineering and technology professions. Program director Itzik Krombi presented the range of training and support tracks operated by the initiative, along with innovative models for integrating ultra-Orthodox workers into advanced professions and high-demand sectors.
During the tour, the Labor Ministry director general entered several activities and courses, spoke with participants, reviewed data on the scope of the activity, and was impressed by the work on the ground. According to him, the Labor Ministry attaches great importance to its partnership with the KAMACH Foundation and to promoting employment centers and initiatives that work to increase employment rates and vocational training in the ultra-Orthodox sector. At KAMACH, they said that the Kivun Center in Jerusalem serves as a model for all Kivun Centers operating across the country, and that in the coming years special emphasis will be placed on expanding activity in the periphery and making employment and vocational training services accessible to additional populations. KAMACH Foundation Director General Moti Feldstein concluded the visit and said: “The close partnership with the Labor Ministry enables us to broaden our circles of influence and create real opportunities for thousands of families. We will continue to work to bring quality training, advanced employment and economic growth to all parts of the country, with an emphasis on the periphery.”
