Singer Yair Elaytzur Releases New Single 'Rabi Nachman' Ahead of Uman Pilgrimage

Israeli singer and songwriter Yair Elaytzur has released a new single titled "Rabi Nachman," the first track from his upcoming EP "In Merit of the Tzaddikim." The song was inspired by Elaytzur's preparations for his annual pilgrimage to Uman for Rosh Hashanah, a tradition he has maintained for over 16 consecutive years. The single explores themes of personal struggle, prayer, and the desire to draw closer to God, reflecting Elaytzur's Breslov Hasidic faith and belief in the spiritual power of the tzaddik (righteous person) to intercede for the Jewish people.

Elaytzur describes the pilgrimage as a deeply renewing and strengthening spiritual experience that profoundly impacts his life. He emphasizes the significance of the journey despite the challenges of leaving everything behind during the High Holidays. The new song honors Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, whom Elaytzur calls his Rebbe, and expresses a message he believes resonates with all listeners. "Rabi Nachman" also marks the beginning of a new series of songs focused on faith, the influence of tzaddikim, and spiritual journeys.

The single was produced by N.B.G and Shay Vagus and is being released in conjunction with the Days of Repentance leading up to Rosh Hashanah. Elaytzur's project aims to inspire and connect audiences through themes of prayer and spiritual growth tied to the traditional pilgrimage to Uman, Ukraine, where Rabbi Nachman is buried.
