Israel Railways Announces Major Service Changes Across Northern Lines During Summer Works

Israel Railways announced significant temporary changes to train services in northern Israel due to infrastructure upgrades near the Zebulun area. These works, scheduled for August 20 to 22, aim to improve service quality and travel safety and are timed during the summer vacation when passenger demand is lower.

During this period, trains on the Modi'in Center-Nahariya line, including night trains, will operate only between Modi'in Center and Haifa Center HaShmona. Similarly, trains on the Be'er Sheva Center-Karmiel/Nahariya line will run only up to Haifa Center HaShmona. Additionally, trains on the Haifa Hof HaCarmel-Karmiel and Atlit-Beit She'an lines will be suspended.

As a result, several stations will be temporarily closed, including Nahariya, Akko, Ahihud, Karmiel, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Haim, Hutzot HaMifratz, Merkazit HaMifratz, Yokneam-Kfar Yehoshua, Migdal HaEmek-Kfar Baruch, Afula, and Beit She'an. To mitigate inconvenience, Israel Railways will provide free shuttle buses and increase regular bus services in the affected areas.

Train services are expected to resume normal operations on Sunday, August 23, at 4:00 AM. Passengers are advised to check updated travel information via the Israel Railways website, mobile app, customer service hotline *5770, or the official WhatsApp channel.
