Ben Gendis Pursues Extreme Luxmaxing to Boost Fame, Wealth, and Looks

Ben Gendis, a 24-year-old Israeli fitness influencer and former combat soldier, has embraced the trend of "luxmaxing", maximizing physical attractiveness through extensive cosmetic procedures and lifestyle changes. Starting fitness training at age 13 due to body image concerns, Gendis gained popularity on TikTok for his content on calorie deficit and fitness. After joining the Israeli Border Police and completing combat training, he was seriously injured by an explosive device in Jenin just two weeks before his discharge in June 2023, resulting in a three-month hospitalization.

Following his recovery, Gendis returned to fitness coaching but paused his activities in 2024 to complete his high school matriculation exams and prepare for further studies. During this break, he experienced a personal low point regarding his appearance, which propelled him deeper into luxmaxing. His regimen includes rhinoplasty, eyebrow treatments, hair straightening, colored contact lenses, and plans for facial fat removal, hyaluronic acid injections in the jaw, chin, and cheekbones, as well as teeth straightening. He is also considering eye shape modification and limb-lengthening surgery, a procedure he has researched for three years but not yet decided to undergo.

Gendis acknowledges the risks and costs of these procedures, including a loss of libido caused by medication for hair loss. He shares openly about the challenges and mixed reactions from his family, who support his improved appearance but worry about health risks. He emphasizes authenticity in his social media presence and aims to destigmatize male grooming and cosmetic enhancement in Israel, which he describes as traditionally conservative and macho, partly due to military culture.

His motivation is partly driven by increased confidence and success in dating, as well as a desire to become very famous, wealthy, and attractive. Gendis hopes to transform luxmaxing from an underground trend into a recognized community and to lead public opinion on the importance of appearance in quality of life. He plans to continue expanding his influence and cosmetic enhancements over the next several years.
