Israeli social media influencer Romy Abergil, 24, has been acquitted in a Thai court after being detained for four months on allegations of illegal business activity. Abergil was arrested in April during a large-scale Thai police operation targeting foreign-run shell companies. Authorities suspected that she used a company registered under her name, purportedly offering makeup and nail services, as a front to sell adult content through her OnlyFans account.

Today, Abergil announced on her Instagram that she was found not guilty and received her passport back, allowing her to move on from the legal ordeal. She expressed relief and gratitude to her supporters, stating, "To all the doubters and my dear friends, my passport is with me," and confirmed, "There is no more court. I am acquitted."

Having relocated to Thailand prior to the arrest, Abergil can now put the case behind her and continue her career without legal restrictions. The case highlights the scrutiny of foreign-operated businesses in Thailand, especially those linked to online adult content platforms.
